REDUX SAINTS
redux ˈriːdʌks/ brought back; revived.
Jason Trevor Miller – aka Redux Saints – has the aim of bringing melody and emotion back into house music.
After a dance music education on the four-to-the-floor clubs of Chicago, alongside a love of the euphoric melodic phrases of acts like Danny Howells, Tiësto, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and Digweed, his productions bring a unique duality.
Redux Saints music combines beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, deep bass lines, and occasional vocal hooks… all on top of a thumping house beat.
Jason formed Redux Saints in late 2015. A recent alumni of the Icon Collective Music Production School, and the first US graduate from the intensive Toolroom Academy Masterclass programme, he has launched himself quickly onto the scene.
Redux Saints first single was signed to Particles - “Take Me With You” a collaboration with Paul Sawyer, Jourdan Bordes, and vocalist Anki Delport. His first full EP quickly followed - “Rebirth” was released in May of 2016 through Krafted Underground along with a remix from Doorly which was signed to Toolroom Ibiza Vol 2 compilation. The ‘Boundaries’ EP was next, with stunning remixes from D. Ramirez and Made By Pete seeing considerable radio and DJ support. In August of 2017 DTLA EP was released with remixes by Ben Remember, Dom Kane, and Paul Sawyer which was ranked top 50 album across three Beatport genre categories.
On the live front, Redux Saints has played to packed floors in London’s iconic Ministry of Sound as well as the legendary Burning Man festival – however his main passion is in playing his hometown of Los Angeles which is in a state of constant renewal, as it is the urban epitome of the American belief in reinvention.
Redux Saints mission of cultivating the emerging community of deep/progressive producers in Los Angeles is already underway while keeping a pulse on the ever-evolving landscape that is LA dance music.
Establishing DTLA (Deep Tech Los Angeles) – will act as the catalyst for this movement – with an EP, a compilation album and event series to follow in early fall of 2017, Redux Saints will be reviving the downtown part of this iconic city with melodic, driving house music he stands for.
